What is the difference between the points of views about the black people?

MASAI WOMEN REFLECTION

Before the document Masai Women, we watched the documents Dead Birds and Nanook of The North. In these documents, there was a certain scenario of the films. In Masai Women, there is a certain scenario that we can easily understand from the romanticism and war scene’s length events.

During the document; the narrator spoke these Masai people’s language. It was an excellent event. We were able to hear the people’s original voices; so we saw them by ourselves, not the point of anthropologist.  The narrator did some interviews with a Masai Woman. We learned most of the things from her point. About their traditions, lifestyles and something like these.

We can learn many things from their traditions but actually we don’t know anything about their religion. The narrator talks about god but we don’t know how the anthropologist learnt about their religion. In a scene a Masai Woman was looking at the sunset and there was romanticism. Also the war scene was superfluous long. On this point we judge the documentary about its ethnographic level. 

If we look at the portrait of black people in the documentary; we can see the same timeless, remote, primitive people. Know we know their life from their point of view but also the aim is still to show us their primitive level. During the documentary the important things have shown as the marriages and wars. The dances of women had shown a lot. Also the structure of community is primitive too. A man can have many wives. Circumcision a part to show their lies in a traditional and cultural way but the aim was still saying people primitive.

The faces and ears of those people were very difference. While they were jumping the earrings of those people were jumping with them that make people seen primitive. The people that lives in Masai were seem happy with their lives because they were untouched. They weren’t knowing many things western people.

They were from a different culture and they have different culture. Their values are different and they’ve shown as primitive again. This document still shows people live in timeless and remove land.
